Hello everyone, this is Patrick from Eberswalde, born in '82, proud dad and the brains behind the blog “Honest Tests”. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm a fan of the casual "DU" in my posts - so let's chat like good buddies. 😉
In my wild youth, I was crazy about computer systems, games, multimedia and the burgeoning Internet. The enthusiasm for technology was obvious. Do you still remember the 286? I actually still have one in the basement! And then the 486, the Gameboy, the SNES... My first contact with a PC was in 1995 - Windows 95 & DOS, the good old days. Sure, gaming was the order of the day, but I also loved taking the PC apart - and then of course someone had to fix the mess. 😉
Over time, I became a PC hobbyist for myself and others. When it came to multimedia technology, people often said: “Patrick, you know your stuff!” But hey, nobody knows everything, so for me it was: research and learn. I'm an autodidact through and through, I taught myself everything - with YouTube, DVDs, magazines, blog posts and of course a lot of trial and error.
Then came the love for photography & Photoshop, even having my own small photo studio. Again it was learning by doing. Shooting, planning, photo editing - all of this led to my own blog/website. I still remember the beginnings of JOOMLA… does that still exist? – Wait a minute, I’ll check that quickly. 😄 Okay, wow, it's still there and it's evolved! At some point I switched to WordPress, easier, more convenient and hey, almost half of all websites run on it. Things really started with the founding of “die.verbreiter” – learning and helping together.
Times are changing, elaborate photo shoots became less common, not because it was no longer fun, but because of the effort involved. But I always wanted to have my own blog. This is how “Honest Tests” came about. Here I learned everything about WordPress, SEO, online marketing, backlinks, writing blog articles, affiliate marketing, HTML/CSS & PHP. A constant learning!
“Honest Tests” is my baby that combines all my interests & skills. Photos, graphics, technology, servers, tools, problems & solutions – it never gets boring! I help with tests, guides, tips, purchase advice, ideas and recommendations, just like before, only on a larger scale. The topics are as varied as I am, so there are no restrictions on “honest tests”. Whether it's a DIY project with my son, presenting a cool product or writing a detailed test report - everything is included. 🙂
Briefly about me: I am a cyclist, footballer, sports enthusiast, RC pilot, series fan, cinema goer, gamer, gardener, DIY enthusiast, positive thinker, humorous, loving dad, pixel artist, DIY enthusiast, tester, copywriter, admin and much more. 🙂

I am a freelance writer and I was born in 1983. I love reading, books and writing on paper. Likes dusty libraries and the silence. I already had my own library when I was at school – which in retrospect, in my imagination, turned out to be much larger than it actually was.
I have published two books. Write as a passionate ghostwriter, convinced advisor, enthusiastic e-booker and, above all, as a freelancer. For a while, the Osnabrück City Library was my second bedroom, until one day I earned money and was able to buy books for myself. I have never forbidden myself anything professionally, not even being allowed to gain a lot of experience. As a result, I was able to experience a great deal and this wealth of knowledge – which is wonderfully growing every day – became the cornerstone for my step into self-employment as a writer.

I'm Julian and I'm from Kiel. I graduated from high school in 2020. In my free time, I like to do all kinds of endurance sports. Whether running, cycling or swimming, some sport always lures me out into the fresh air.
My favorite distance is the half marathon, which I have also competed in internationally in Denmark and Norway. The combination of endurance sports, such as triathlon, is also very popular with me. I'm also training for a long distance triathlon. I write my experience & test reports on sports and fitness products for "Honest Tests".

I'm Jule, a little decoration queen and I really like the vintage style. As a woman, I like to deal with beauty and fashion products, who would have thought. 😉 I enjoy many products, which I would like to share with you to gain more blogging experience myself.
In addition, I do smaller things in the background when it comes to entering, updating and testing at "Honest Tests". Professionally I work with people and that's where my big heart comes in handy. In my free time and away from the internet, I like to do sports in the gym or in the great outdoors. My dog man “Luke” has been accompanying me for 5 years.
